Product Description

The pre-aspherical Summilux-M 35mm f/1.4 is the second version of Leica's fast wide, produced from 1967 to 1995 in a total of roughly 28,350 lenses. It uses Walter Mandler's seven elements in five groups, the same layout as the 1961 Steel Rim, in a lighter barrel focusing to 1m and taking Series VII filters within the clamp-on hood. Weight is about 245g. Contrast is low and highlights bloom at full aperture, which is precisely the look these are now sought for.
