Product Description

Leitz's long Telyts were built around the Visoflex housing, which turns an M body into a reflex camera and makes focal lengths like this workable on a rangefinder at all. This one is a prototype rather than a catalogued lens: Leitz's published 40cm Telyts of the period are the f/5 versions, and no order code, production run or catalogue entry exists for a 400mm f/8. Factory prototypes rarely leave Wetzlar, and surviving examples surface only occasionally.
