The 12504, introduced in 1967, is the two-part shade for Leica's 35mm lenses: it unscrews so that a Series VII filter can be captured inside, then screws back together and mounts as one unit, and it is listed for the 35mm Summilux and the later 35mm Summicron versions. Most were finished black. This is the chrome-plated brass version with white filled engraving, made in much smaller numbers and the correct match for a chrome 35mm lens on a chrome M body.
