Product Description

Elcan stands for Ernst Leitz Canada, which is the Leica Canada factory. Elcan designed the Leica Elcan 66mm f/2, an ultra-high resolution lens for the U.S. Navy. According to some sources, these lenses were used by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) during the Cold War. The lens has an E39 filter size, consists of nine elements, and has a minimum focusing distance of one meter. Extremely rare in such good condition.
