The Leica Elmar 90mm f/4 Version 2 LTM (factory code ELANG), produced in 1957, is a rare screw-mount telephoto with a total output of only 500 units. It employs a classic 4-element Elmar-type optical design derived from the 1930s triplet derivative, arranged in 3 groups. This compact long-focus lens retains the pre-war optical formula while benefiting from post-war glass improvements, delivering high contrast and smooth rendering characteristic of Leica’s early telephoto optics.
