Product Description

Early M3s are the ones collectors separate out. Before Leitz added the frameline preview lever during 1955 and changed to a metal film pressure plate in 1957, the camera used a glass pressure plate and the older shutter speed scale that was replaced at the start of 1957. All of these early bodies advance the film in two strokes. Chrome over brass, catalogued 10150 under the order code IGEMO, from an M3 run of 233,209 numbers assigned between 1954 and 1966.
