Product Description

The M4-2 is the camera that kept the M line alive, put back into production by Leitz Canada at Midland after Wetzlar had wound the M4 down. It is a simplified, cost-reduced M4, without the engraved script top plate and with a different body covering in place of vulcanite. Cameraquest records eight Midland batches of 2,000 cameras each between 1977 and 1980, so around 16,000 were built before the M4-P took over. Black chrome was the standard finish.
