A black paint MP, order number 10302, recovered in a lychee-grain leather in place of the synthetic covering Leica fits as standard. The recovering is aftermarket rather than a factory finish, and gives a warmer, more textured grip than the production hide. The camera underneath is unaltered: brass top and bottom plates under lacquer, the M3 style advance lever and rewind knob, a mechanical 1s to 1/1000 shutter plus B, and a selective meter that alone draws on the battery.
