The Leica Summicron 50mm f/2 SOOIC is a screw-mount (LTM) lens produced 1953–1958 featuring the classic Double Gauss optical design with 6 elements in 4 groups and thorium-containing radioactive glass in the front element. One of the first post-war Summicrons, it delivers high contrast and resolution characteristic of early coated Leica optics. This example carries factory code SOOIC and remains in A- cosmetic condition with original markings intact. A scarce and sought-after variant among collectors of Leica screw-mount rangefinder glass.
