The Leica Summicron-M 35mm f/2 Version 4 (factory code 11310) is a 7-element 5-group modified Gauss-type design produced in Germany from 1979 to 1987. Renowned among collectors as the “King of Bokeh” for its exceptionally smooth out-of-focus rendering, this iteration retains the classic double-Gauss layout while optimizing spherical correction and field flatness. Hand-assembled at the Solms factory, it remains one of the rarest and most sought-after 35mm M-mount lenses, with only a limited production run before replacement by the 6-element ASPH version.
