SOOIC-M is the M bayonet version of the collapsible Summicron, catalogued from 1954 to 1960 and made to go with the newly launched M3. The optics are the same seven elements in six groups as the screw-mount SOOIC, in a barrel that pushes into the body for carrying; early production uses rare-earth glass, which takes on a warm cast with age and clears again under UV. It takes E39 filters and collapses to a profile no rigid 50 can match.
