From 1992 Leica offered the second-version 35mm Summilux in a titanium finish, order code 11860, as a partner to the M6 Titan. This is a German-assembled barrel. The optics are the familiar pre-aspherical seven elements in five groups by Walter Mandler, focusing to 1m and taking Series VII filters within the clamp-on hood, at about 245g. Across its 1967 to 1995 life the version totalled roughly 28,350 lenses, and the titanium finish accounts for a small fraction of them.
