Order number 10414 is the silver chrome M6 classic. Leica built 158,309 M6 classics between 1984 and 2003, of which 50,876 were chrome against 82,831 in black. The camera is mechanical apart from its meter: a cloth focal plane shutter, a centre-weighted TTL cell read off two LED arrows and a single CR 1/3N lithium battery, in painted zinc top and bottom plates. The finder is 0.72x with framelines from 28 to 135mm. Heinrich Janke was responsible for the design.
