Announced in September 2009, the M9 was the first full-frame digital rangefinder, putting an 18.5 megapixel Kodak CCD of 23.9 by 35.8mm behind the M bayonet so that M lenses returned to their intended angles of view. That CCD rendering is why the camera is still wanted rather than simply superseded. Specification runs to a 0.68x viewfinder, ISO 80 to 2500 and speeds from 32 seconds to 1/4000s in a 585g body. Black paint is order number 10704; production ran until July 2012.
