Peter Karbe's Noctilux-M 50mm f/0.95 ASPH replaced the f/1 in 2008 and is still the fastest aspherical lens made for 35mm photography. Eight elements in five groups combine aspherical surfaces with glass of anomalous partial dispersion, and a floating element holds correction all the way to the 1m close limit. An 11-blade diaphragm stops down to f/16 in half values, the hood pulls out and locks, and filters are E60. Order number 11602 is the black anodised finish, weighing about 700g.
