Order code 11873, the double aspherical Summilux-M, was Leica's early-1990s attempt at a fully corrected fast 35: nine elements in five groups with two aspherical surfaces, ground and polished by hand rather than moulded, which made it slow and expensive to build. Leica Wiki records fewer than 4,000 delivered between 1991 and 1994 before it gave way to the single-aspherical 11874. It focuses to 0.7m, takes E46 filters and weighs about 300g.
