The second version of the 50mm f/1 Noctilux-M appeared in 1981 and is separated from the first by its E60 filter thread in place of E58; the hood stayed a separate item, the 12539 clamp-on shade also catalogued for the 50mm Summicron-M. The optics are unchanged, seven elements in six groups with no aspherical surfaces, half and full click stops from f/1 to f/16, a 1m close limit and about 630g. Leica built 17,535 f/1 Noctiluxes between 1976 and 2008.
