SYOOM-M is the Leitz code for the original Leicavit MP, the trigger winder that replaces the camera baseplate and advances the film and cocks the shutter from below. About 450 were built with the 1956 MP, then an estimated 2,000 to 3,000 bottom-trigger examples from 1960 until Leitz discontinued it in 1966. It fits the MP, M2, M1 and MD, but not the standard M3. Silver chrome was the normal factory finish, and most surviving vintage Leicavits are of this type.
